Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Orb Apps LLC for using Hivetime. Please read them, especially the parts about subscriptions, AI helpers and limits on our liability.

Effective November 7, 2026 · Version 2026-11-07.5

1. The agreement

By creating an account, using the Hivetime app, or using a Hivetime booking page, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Hivetime.

2. Who can use Hivetime

  • You must be 18 or older to create a family and subscribe.
  • Teens 13 to 17 can have their own login only when a parent or guardian in the family invites them and agrees to these terms for them.
  • Children under 13 can't have an account. A parent may add them to the family and manage their calendar, as our children's privacy notice describes.
  • Hivetime is offered only in the United States.

3. Your account and family

Keep your sign-in details safe and tell us at support@hivetime.app if you think someone else is using your account. You're responsible for what happens in your account.

Parents in a Hivetime family can invite other people, add children, and set the age rules for the family. If you add someone, you confirm that you're allowed to share their information with Hivetime. If you add a child, you confirm that you are their parent or legal guardian. Anyone you invite can see the family information described in our privacy policy.

4. Subscriptions and billing

  • One plan. Hivetime has one subscription that includes every feature. You can pay monthly or yearly. The current prices are shown in the app before you buy.
  • Whole family. When one person in a Hivetime family has an active subscription, everyone in that family can use every feature for as long as it stays active.
  • Billed by Apple. Purchases are made through the App Store and charged to your Apple Account. Apple's terms apply to the payment.
  • Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same length and price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your Apple Account is charged within 24 hours before the end of the period.
  • Canceling. Manage or cancel in your iPhone's Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions. Canceling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. Deleting the app or your Hivetime account doesn't cancel the subscription.
  • Refunds. Apple handles all refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • Price changes. If the price goes up, Apple will tell you in advance and, where required, ask you to agree before you're charged the new price.
  • Fair use. AI helpers have generous daily and monthly limits per family to keep the service fast and affordable for everyone. The app tells you if your family reaches one.

5. Your content

Your events, tasks, lists, photos, themes and other things you put into Hivetime are yours. You give us permission to store, copy, process and display them only as needed to run Hivetime for you and the people you share with, including through the service providers listed in our privacy policy. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in backups that expire on their normal schedule.

Only upload content you have the right to use. Don't upload photos of people outside your family without their permission.

6. Booking links

When you share a booking link, anyone who has it can see your open times and request a booking, unless it's a family-only link, which also needs its family code. You decide who gets your links, and you can turn them off at any time.

If you book through someone's link, you agree to these terms for that booking, and the information you enter is shared with that family. Hivetime isn't part of any arrangement between you and the family, such as babysitting, lessons or visits, and isn't responsible for it.

7. AI helpers

Hivetime's AI helpers read photos, links and text you give them and suggest events, lists and tasks. AI can be wrong. It can misread a date, miss an item, or suggest something that doesn't fit your family. Always review suggestions before you save them, and don't rely on Hivetime for medical, legal, safety or other important decisions.

Only give the AI content you have the right to share. Don't use it to create anything unlawful or harmful.

8. Connected services

If you connect Google, Microsoft, Apple or another calendar, your use of that service is also covered by its own terms. We aren't responsible for those services, and connections can stop working if a provider changes them.

9. Rules of the hive

Please don't:

  • Break the law or anyone's rights, or use Hivetime to harass, stalk or harm anyone.
  • Add someone, or their information, without the right to do so.
  • Send spam or unwanted booking requests, or use booking pages to collect people's information.
  • Try to get into accounts, families or systems that aren't yours, or probe, scan or overload our services.
  • Copy, reverse engineer or resell Hivetime, or use it to build a competing product.
  • Use bots or scrapers on Hivetime, except as the law allows.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

Hivetime isn't an emergency service. Reminders and notifications can be late or not arrive, so don't rely on them for anything critical, like medication.

10. Our app and brand

We give you a personal, non-transferable license to use the Hivetime app on Apple devices you own or control, as these terms and Apple's App Store rules allow. Hivetime, the honeycomb calendar logo, and the app's design belong to us. If you send us ideas or feedback, we can use them without owing you anything.

11. Apple terms

If you downloaded Hivetime from the App Store:

  • These terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for Hivetime and its content.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Hivetime.
  • If Hivetime doesn't meet a warranty that applies to it, you can tell Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for Hivetime.
  • We, not Apple, are responsible for handling any claims about Hivetime, including product liability claims, claims that it doesn't meet legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer protection or privacy claims.
  • If anyone claims Hivetime infringes their intellectual property, we, not Apple, are responsible for investigating, defending and settling that claim.
  • You confirm that you aren't located in a country subject to a US government embargo or on a US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • You must follow any third-party terms that apply when you use Hivetime, such as your wireless carrier's.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and can enforce them against you.

12. Ending your use

You can stop using Hivetime and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering Hivetime. If we stop offering Hivetime, we'll give you reasonable notice and a chance to download your data. Sections 5 (for backups), 7, 10, and 13 through 15 continue after your account ends.

13. Disclaimers

We work hard to keep Hivetime useful and reliable, but it's provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and we don't promise that Hivetime will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI results or synced calendars will be accurate.

14. Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, missed appointments or lost profits, arising from your use of Hivetime. Our total liability for any claim about Hivetime is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for Hivetime in the 12 months before the claim or $50. Some states don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

You agree to cover our reasonable costs from claims by others that arise from content you upload or from your breaking these terms.

15. Disputes

If you have a problem with Hivetime, please email support@hivetime.app first. Most issues can be fixed quickly, and we'll try in good faith for 60 days before either of us goes to court. These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and applicable US federal law, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any lawsuit must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Pennsylvania, except that either of us may bring an individual claim in small claims court where you live.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material, we'll tell you in the app or by email at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you keep using Hivetime after that, the new terms apply. If you don't agree, you can cancel and delete your account.
